No jargon and no boilerplate. This describes what the product actually does, because I built it and I know.
CC PlayCaller is built and operated by Juan Longoria. Data protection law requires you to know who is responsible for your information, and that is him. In practice the operation is small, which is why this page is short and specific rather than a wall of boilerplate, and why a message to team@ccplaycaller.com reaches somebody who can actually act on it.
I store the least I can get away with. I do not sell data, I do not run ads, and I do not share anything with anyone except the service providers listed below that are needed to make the product work.
The trial on this site needs no account. It does not ask for your name or your email and it does not know who you are. Two things are stored in your own browser: a counter of how many free diagnoses you have used, and a random session id that disappears when you close the tab. Neither identifies you.
When you complete a diagnosis, the answers you picked are recorded so I can see which questions people find useful and where they give up. What gets stored is the id of each option, never free text, and it is linked to that random session id rather than to you.
Signing up stores your email address and a password hashed by Supabase, my authentication provider. I never see your password. It also stores the company or team name you type in.
When you run a diagnosis you name the person you are coaching, and the app saves that name alongside the root cause, the coaching plan and any check ins you log. That is performance information about somebody who is not the one using the product.
Please think about this before you type a full name. The field accepts initials or a label such as "Alex C." or "Agent 1", and for most coaching that is enough to tell people apart. Using less identifying information is better for the person you are coaching and better for you.
If you are using this at work, that data belongs to your employer, not to me. You are responsible for whether recording it here is allowed under your own organisation's policies and your local employment and data protection law. In several countries, including across the EU and UK, recording employee performance data in an outside system has specific requirements, and some workplaces require consultation with a works council or similar body first. If you need a data processing agreement in place before using this with real teams, email me and we will sort one out.
If you invite a peer, their email address is stored so the invitation can be sent and so you can see who you have already asked. That person did not give me their address, you did, so only invite people who would expect to hear from you.
These are the services the product runs on. Each has its own privacy terms.
Supabase, database and sign in, hosted in the United States.
Netlify, website and app hosting.
Render, the diagnostic engine. It receives your answer ids to work out the root cause. It never receives names.
Mailchimp, the newsletter, only if you subscribe.
Cloudflare Web Analytics, page view counts on this site. It is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors.
Calendly, if you book a call.
Formspree, if you use the contact form.
An email provider, for account confirmation and password reset messages.
Account data and the plans you create are kept until you ask me to delete them. Diagnosis analytics are kept indefinitely in a form that is not linked to you or to any named person. Browser storage clears when you clear your browser data.
Email team@ccplaycaller.com and ask. I will send you a copy of what is held, correct anything wrong, or delete the lot. No form, no process, no charge. I aim to do it within 30 days and usually much faster. That includes requests about someone you have recorded in the product.
This is a workplace tool. It is not intended for anyone under 16 and I do not knowingly collect their data.
If this changes in a way that affects you, I will say so on this page and date it. Continuing to use the product after that means the new version applies.
